Notes for presenters:
  • Posters should measure no larger than 36" x 48" (3 feet by 4 feet) in size.  We will likely not be able to accommodate posters that are larger than this size.  We recommend that posters be designed and printed in landscape orientation, so that they are wider than they are tall.

  • Time slots for paper presentations are 30 minutes, with 5 minutes between sessions to allow for conference attendees to move between talks.  Presentations should be timed to last 20 minutes, allowing 10 minutes for questions and discussion.

  • Windows/PC computers with PowerPoint will be available in all presentation rooms.  Please test your presentation on a Windows PC before you come to SLRF to ensure that there are no compatibility problems, and if you are using PowerPoint please save your document in the compatibility format (.ppt), to minimize compatibility issues between different versions of the software.  We highly encourage you to bring your presentation on a flash drive and use the provided laptops.  We are unable to provide support for personal laptops or adapters for Macs, and changing computers between presentations can become time-consuming and problematic.  Please try to load your presentation onto the laptop in the room in which you are presenting at the beginning of the day or during a coffee break or lunch.  This will facilitate transitions between presentations and help minimize unexpected problems.

  • Unfortunately, speakers will not be available in most presentation rooms.  Please plan your presentation accordingly.

  • Certificates of attendance will be available upon request for conference attendees and presenters.  If you anticipate needing a certificate of attendance, please do your best to notify us before the conference begins so that we can make sure to have a certificate for you.

  • Please remember to check the finalized, printed program schedule for any sessions that you are assigned to chair.
